What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Engineer position at Optimus?
Our client is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and scale data infrastructure in a cloud-based environment. This role will develop robust data pipelines and enabling advanced analytics across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows using AWS services
- Develop and optimize data models and storage solutions within Redshift
- Leverage AWS Glue for ETL processes and data integration across multiple sources
- Support advanced analytics and machine learning workflows using SageMaker
Experience / Skills:
- Strong experience as a Data Engineer with hands-on expertise in AWS (Glue, Redshift, SageMaker)
- Proficiency in building and optimizing ETL pipelines and large-scale data architectures
- Experience with Python for data processing and pipeline development
- Nice-to-have: Terraform, and exposure to TypeScript/React for front-end dashboards or data applications
