Responsibilities
- Earn $30.00/HR | $2,000 Guaranteed Weekly | Paid Weekly | OT After 40 Hours
- Steady Year-Round Work | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity | 2 Days Home Weekly
- Drivers may be based out of Lewistown, PA; Burlington, VT; Memphis, TN; Myrtle Beach, SC; or Richmond, VA
- Client will arrange and pay for travel to Lewistown, PA for tractor pickup
- Operate a Sleeper Truck with Flatbed/Conestoga curtain-side trailers on multi-stop OTR routes
- Deliver throughout areas east of the Rockies to job sites and warehouse locations, with some roadside offloads
- Transport a mixture of crated and loose materials, including finished products and raw materials
- Perform load securement and occasional unloading assistance while meeting scheduled delivery appointments
Schedule & Route Details
- Loads generally leave the plant Sunday mid-afternoon, with returns occurring throughout the week.
- Monday deliveries may have 7:00 AM appointments, requiring drivers to depart early enough to arrive on schedule.
- All loads originate from the Lewistown/Williamsport, PA area.
- Shorter routes may be assigned a second load after returning.
- Drivers receive 2 days of home time per week, scheduled according to operational needs and not necessarily on weekends.
- For drivers based remotely, a safe location will be provided to park the tractor-trailer, allowing the driver to take the loaded truck out for Monday deliveries.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with at least 24 months of recent verifiable commercial driving experience
- Flatbed and load securement experience required
- Must be comfortable operating Sleeper Trucks with Flatbed/Conestoga equipment
- Must be comfortable with Touch Freight, occasional unload assistance, and roadside deliveries
- Must be able to follow strict appointment times and communicate effectively with management
- Must be flexible with OTR scheduling; 2 home days are provided each week but are not guaranteed to fall on weekends
- Must be able to pass a DOT Physical, Drug Screen, and Background Checks
- No DUIs/DWIs within the last 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations within the last 36 months
