What are the responsibilities and job description for the Breakfast Attendant position at Optimal Hospitality Solutions?
Position Summary:
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and service-minded Breakfast Attendant to oversee our hotel’s continental and hot breakfast service. In this role, you will ensure that all food and beverage items are prepared, stocked, and presented to brand standards, while delivering a warm and welcoming experience to our guests each morning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, maintain, and break down the daily breakfast buffet (both continental and hot food items)
- Ensure all food and beverages are fresh, properly stocked, and attractively presented
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices
- Greet guests warmly and respond to any questions or special requests
- Clean and sanitize breakfast area, counters, tables, and equipment throughout the shift
- Refill items such as coffee, juice, pastries, fruit, eggs, meats, and other breakfast offerings
- Assist with inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Handle guest feedback professionally and promptly address any issues
- Follow hotel and brand standards for food presentation and guest service
Qualifications:
- Previous food service or hospitality experience preferred (not required – training provided)
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks
