What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Finish Superintendent - AZ position at Optima, Inc.?
Optima Inc. is growing! We are seeking a hands-on, driven Assistant Finish Superintendent to join our team. This person would be responsible for scheduling and coordination of the construction project from deck layout through insulation and from drywall to final punch-out, ensuring completion of the project is on time, within budget, and up to quality standards.
What You'll Do
Work with the on-site team of superintendents
Order and coordinate installation of all finish products including doors, frames, hardware, countertops, vanity tops, and cabinets
Coordinate, schedule and monitor work from the beginning of drywall through final punch-out
Craft and complete punch list to ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract documents and that buyer changes are incorporated into building according to schedule
Review MEP shop drawings to identify possible conflicts
Attend and co-chair weekly coordination meetings with all trades
Enforce onsite safety programs
You will work with governing officials to inspect and approve work
Collaborate with Architect and subcontractors to process RFI’s
Create punch list and complete associated work
Maintain expediting and daily logs
What You'll Need
Minimum of 2-3 years of related experience
Four-year college degree preferred
Constructed at least a $25M project start to finish
Mid- to high-rise fast-track residential construction experience required
What Will Set Your Apart
General knowledge of building and mechanical codes, as well as all structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and low voltage systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Project
Detailed and organized
Self-directed and efficient
Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide direction and guidance to skilled trades workers
