What You'll Do
We're looking for a motivated Sawyer Trainee who is eager to learn a skilled trade. You'll begin training on 1st shift alongside experienced team members before transitioning to 2nd shift once fully trained.
In this role, you'll learn to:
- Operate overhead cranes and vacuum lift cranes to safely move and position stone slabs.
- Load slabs onto BACA saw tables for cutting.
- Load engineering programs and verify layouts before production.
- Nest countertop templates over laser projections for maximum material utilization.
- Make minor program adjustments, including cut sequencing and tool selection.
- Monitor robotic saw operations for quality, accuracy, and safe operation.
- Maintain efficient production by minimizing table changeover times.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure high-quality finished products.
- Paid training at $25.00/hr.
- Four 10-hour shifts for a three-day weekend every week.
