Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Review transactions for accuracy and compliance
- Create and maintain spreadsheets used for financial tracking and reporting
- Utilize Pivot Tables, formulas, and data analysis tools within Microsoft Excel
- Assist with audit preparation and financial documentation requests
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather and verify financial information
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Required
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience creating and utilizing Pivot Tables
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Previous accounting internship, bookkeeping, or accounting experience
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems
- Experience performing account reconciliations
- Familiarity with financial statement preparation and reporting
