Position: Senior Material Handler and Driver

Location: Woodland, WA

Pay: $19.95 - $32.42 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, on-site

What You’ll Do:

Senior Material Handler Responsibilities:

• Operate lift truck, baler, and roll grab
• Weigh and record all waste from machines
• Bale and store salvage paper
• Keep machines supplied safely and efficiently
• Maintain accurate waste records
• Perform all phases of packaging and finishing processes including palletizing press, manual strapper, and stretch wrapper
• Stack and pull finished goods and other materials as needed
• Maintain paperwork and computer records
• Stage and load finished goods for shipping
• Follow lift truck safety rules and complete job safety checklists
• Unload trucks and put away raw materials
• Ensure all food safety and quality standards are met
• Cover for Warehouse Manager when absent
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to subordinates
  
  

Driver Responsibilities:

• Hold non-excepted interstate driver certification
• Inspect truck pre- and post-trip
• Monitor truck maintenance and repairs
• Assist with or oversee cargo loading and unloading
• Maintain logs of cargo weight, times, and miles traveled

What You Need to Have:

• Non-excepted interstate driver certification / DOT Medical Clearance OR ability to pass before hired on
• Forklift certification
• Strong organizational skills
• Decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow directions
• Reliability and punctuality
  
  

The Musts:

• Ability to operate lift equipment safely
• Ability to read and maintain proper paperwork flow
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
• Awareness of and adherence to all safety procedures
  
  

Preferred:

• Prior experience as a senior material handler or driver
• Experience providing leadership or mentoring to a team
