Journeyman Diesel Mechanic

Location: Fife, WA

Pay: $35-$45/hr DOE

Position Overview:

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring that our fleet of trucks and trailers are in top-notch condition and ready for the road. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to excellence.

What You’ll Do: As a Journeyman Diesel Mechanic, your main job will be to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and equipment—like trucks, trailers, and heavy machinery. You’ll be working on everything from engines and transmissions to brakes, suspensions, exhaust, and electrical systems. You’ll use a variety of tools, including diagnostic software, hand tools, and power equipment, to identify and fix problems. Some jobs might be simple, like oil changes or replacing brake pads. Others could involve complex engine repairs or rebuilding major components. A big part of your day will also include preventative maintenance—making sure vehicles stay in top condition to avoid breakdowns and costly repairs down the line. You’ll follow maintenance schedules, complete safety inspections (like DOT checks), and keep detailed records of the work you do. Qualifications:

• 5 or more years of experience as a mechanic
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems
• Proficiency with various shop equipment
• Personal tools
