Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality service. This position requires working well with other team members, but also the ability to work alone in a variety of environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot diesel engines, generators and related systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on diesel engines and machinery.
- Inspect and test components to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Provide service and communicate effectively with clients regarding repair and maintenance needs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in diesel mechanics preferred.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed. Some travel is required.
