What You'll Do
- Operate, monitor, and adjust drinking water treatment processes and equipment.
- Monitor SCADA systems, pumps, motors, valves, filters, and chemical feed systems.
- Perform laboratory sampling and water quality testing to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Troubleshoot operational and mechanical issues while maintaining reliable plant performance.
- Complete operational logs, reports, and required documentation.
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor equipment repairs.
- Respond to emergency situations and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Assist with training and mentoring newer operators when needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
What We're Looking For
- Current Florida Water Treatment Operator License (Class A, B, or C).
- Experience operating a municipal or public water treatment facility.
- Strong understanding of drinking water treatment processes and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with SCADA systems, pumps, motors, valves, and chemical feed equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot operational and mechanical issues.
- Valid Florida driver's license.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety and delivering reliable drinking water to the community.
