Job summary
The Operations Technology Security Engineer partners directly with Operations Technology (OT) teams to ensure operational systems and devices are securely configured, monitored, and accessed. This role focuses on protecting SCADA, control systems, field devices, and supporting OT infrastructure while enabling safe, reliable utility operations.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with OT teams to assess, design, and implement security controls for OT environments.
- Define secure configuration standards for OT devices, servers, and supporting infrastructure.
- Support secure remote and local access to OT systems, including role-based and least-privilege access models.
- Own and administer OT-specific security platforms (e.g., Dragos, Claroty, Nozomi)
- Conduct OT security risk assessments, vulnerability reviews, and remediation planning.
- Collaborate with network teams on segmentation and secure IT/OT convergence.
- Support incident response activities involving OT systems and coordinate with external specialists as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience in OT, ICS, or cybersecurity roles, with direct exposure to industrial or utility environments.
- Understanding of OT/ICS environments, SCADA architectures, and field devices.
- Familiarity with OT security frameworks and regulations.
- Familiarity with working in safety-critical or regulated infrastructure environments.
