What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Teacher position at Open Arms Lutheran Child Development Center?
Open Arms is searching for qualified Lead Teachers for toddler and preschool age children in a child care setting. Lead teachers are responsible for care of children during all times of the day and additional cleaning duties as well. At least one year experience in child care and training classes required. CPR/First Aid certified is preferred but will train if not already certified. Current positions available are between the hours of 6:30am - 6:00pm, Monday-Friday. If hired, employee would be responsible for completing training courses, background check fingerprinting and a health assessment within the first 30 days of hire. Pay rate will be dependent on experience and education.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Lead and supervise a classroom of children, ensuring their well-being and development
- Collaborate with parents and families to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
- Monitor and assess the progress of each child, providing individualized support as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
