School Psychologist

The School Psychologist supports students' academic, social, and emotional development through assessment, intervention, and collaboration. This role helps create safe, supportive learning environments and ensures students receive appropriate services to succeed.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychoeducational assessments to evaluate cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional functioning
• Interpret data to support eligibility determinations and inform instructional and intervention strategies
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement IEPs
• Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support services
• Develop and implement behavior intervention plans and strategies
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide consultation to school staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
• Active or eligible Michigan School Psychologist certification or licensure
• Experience working with children or adolescents in school or clinical settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of assessment tools, data analysis, and evidence-based interventions
• Understanding of special education laws, IEP processes, and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and support diverse student populations
