We're looking for a friendly, organized, and patient-focused team member to join our Sharon Morse Medical Center office in The Villages, Florida, and help us provide an exceptional experience for every patient.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Front Desk Medical Receptionist to create an exceptional experience for every patient—from the moment they walk through our doors until they check out.

As the first point of contact, you'll play an essential role in ensuring our office operates efficiently while providing compassionate, professional customer service.

This is a part-time position requiring availability every Tuesday, with additional shifts on select Saturdays as needed. The schedule will generally be 1–2 days per week, depending on office needs and patient volume.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with warmth, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
• Check patients in and out while ensuring demographic and insurance information is accurate.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays, balances, and product payments.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling, rescheduling, and general inquiries.
• Maintain an organized appointment schedule and communicate any delays or changes.
• Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient flow.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
• Help create a welcoming, organized, and positive office environment.
• Assist with other front desk and administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office or customer service role; dermatology experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and highly organized.
• Passion for providing outstanding patient care and customer service.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Availability to work every Tuesday is required.
• Availability to work select Saturdays as needed is required.
