Coulter Library needs assistance at the reserve and circulation desks Monday - Thursday and weekends.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Checking books and other items in and out, re-shelving returned material, booking & maintaining the study rooms, hourly room counts, answering simple library questions, and assisting with our library events.
Candidates should have: Good communication skills; a welcoming & friendly demeanor, a complete understanding of alphabetical and numerical order, basic familiarity with computers, and attention to detail. We expect our team to be punctual and reliable.
Physically, this position requires lifting, reaching, and bending to re-shelve books, as well as walking the 2nd and 3rd floor every hour.
Job Requirements:
Must have a valid FAFSA on file
Must have a financial need, as demonstrated by the FAFSA
Must be matriculated into a program
Attending at least half-time (6 credit hours)
Maintain satisfactory progress (SAP) towards the completion of their program
Additional Information:
Library Hours of Operations: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-8pm, Friday 8:30am-4:30pm, Saturday 12-4pm, Sunday 2-6pm
Pay Rate: Starting rate of $16/hour for new Federal Work Studies.
Starting rate of $17/hour for returning Federal Work Studies
Federal Work Study may work up to 20 hours per week while classes are in session.
