Responsible for operating a specialized forklift (reach truck) to move, stack, and retrieve materials in a warehouse or distribution center, often in narrow aisle environments. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, ensuring safe handling of loads, and assisting with inventory management.
- Safe and Efficient Operation: Operate the reach truck according to safety guidelines and best practices.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods from trucks, trailers, or storage areas.
- Material Handling: Move, stack, and retrieve pallets and other materials using the reach truck.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control, ensuring accurate tracking of goods.
- Warehouse Support: Perform other warehouse-related tasks as needed, such as picking orders, preparing materials for shipping, or assisting with general warehouse maintenance.
Work Experience
- Experience: Previous experience operating reach trucks or similar equipment is highly desirable.
- Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety procedures and the ability to operate equipment safely.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry items, and perform physical tasks.
