Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Allegheny, PA, for a Direct Support Professional. In this role, you will provide hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to promote their independence and inclusion in daily life. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, facilitating community engagement, supporting daily living activities, and implementing individualized support plans. You will maintain accurate documentation and work closely with team members to ensure a safe and supportive environment for participants.
Qualifications
- Experience providing care or support to individuals with special needs or disabilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport and respectful relationships
- Ability to complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making in challenging situations
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift and assist individuals as needed
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred
