Required Skills:
- 4 years as a Mechanical Engineer
- Strong thermodynamics/heat transfer background
- Experience with technical writing
- Proficient in Excel
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Active secret security clearance
Additional Skills:
- Shipyard, marine, or defense project exposure
- Familiarity with MIL specs or ASME codes
- Experience with MATLAB
Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering analysis and design for heat transfer and thermal systems
- Support R&D efforts, including testing, modeling, and concept development
- Create detailed technical reports, procedures, and documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers (including shipyards and government stakeholders)
- Review designs and participate in peer reviews
- Take ownership of individual projects while contributing to a team environment
