Administrative / Accounting Assistant

Summary

This role has flexible hours (25-30 hrs per week) and will support daily operations and ensure efficient office management. You will utilize your accounting, customer service, clerical, and problem solving skills to handle customer invoicing, collections, supplier bills, account reconciliation, and maintain accurate financial records. You will also assist with order management, reporting and support the company's marketing efforts.

Accounting

  • Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Customer invoicing
  • Bank Reconciliation

Administrative

  • Order entry
  • Communicate with suppliers for status updates
  • Assist in maintaining delivery schedules
  • Assist with reporting, and other general administrative tasks as required

Marketing

  • Assist with email marketing, social media, and direct mail campaigns
  • Help to follow up with new business leads and CRM updates
  • Client online storefront maintenance (WooCommerce / Wordpress)

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in accounts payable, accounts receivable or general accounting in a small or medium-sized business environment
  • A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of general accounting practices
  • Experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems such as Oracle Netsuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho or Odoo
  • Strong computer skills, including excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and 10-key by touch are required
  • Typing: Min 30 WPM

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
