Oneida Health is currently seeking a full-time Surgical Scheduler to manage patient scheduling for our outpatient clinics in Oneida. In this position, you will assist patients and referring providers in the scheduling of surgical procedures at our Oneida Health Hospital and outpatient offices. The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team while demonstrating a strong desire to establish excellent working relationships in an organization dedicated to quality.

What You’ll Be Great At:
- Coordinating and scheduling surgeries as designated by physicians using a computerized scheduling system.
- Working as a team member within the patient services department and all other departments.
- Recognizing and responding appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and management.
- Documenting work processes as required with attention to detail.
- Coordinating processes and routing all paperwork as required to meet physician and facility requirements.
- Ensuring efficient and effective telephone communication.
- Following all written protocols and procedures to a t.

Your Essential Qualifications:
- Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience:
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Surgical scheduling experience or related required
