Position Summary

A highly respected, full-service law firm with a nationally recognized corporate and transactional practice is seeking an experienced Mergers & Acquisitions Associate to join its Washington, DC office. The firm advises public and private companies, investors, and institutions on complex domestic and cross-border transactions and is known for its collaborative culture, sophisticated work, and long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive M&A transactions through all phases, from initial structuring and diligence to closing and post-closing matters
• Prepare, review, and negotiate complex transaction documents, including stock and asset purchase agreements, merger agreements, joint venture arrangements, and operating agreements
• Advise clients on deal structure, strategic considerations, regulatory compliance, and risk allocation
• Work collaboratively with firm partners, internal specialists, external advisors, and financing sources in domestic and cross-border transactions
• Foster strong, enduring client relationships aligned with a client-centric service philosophy

Qualifications

• 3 years of substantive M&A experience
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills across a range of deal structures
• Member of the District of Columbia Bar in good standing
