On The Mark Locators, LLC. provides professional subsurface engineering Utility Locating services to commercial, private sector, and government organizations. We are committed to providing the necessary guidance you need to safely advance your construction process. Our Experienced Utility Technicians Team will provide: Underground Facilities locating and mapping, Ground Penetration Radar, Concrete Scanning, Leak Detection, Video Pipe Inspection, Vacuum Excavation and Damage Prevention Investigation.

Job Summary:

The Locator Technician will work as a part of a team to perform geophysical subsurface utility locating while utilizing various pieces of equipment and training techniques.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Analyze work site for potential safety hazards and utilize safety training while performing duties.
  • Identify and map electric, water, gas, fiber optics and other underground utilities with the scope of work as requested by our clients.
  • Operate handheld detection equipment per its designed way.
  • Accurately and consistently be able to perform these tasks at a high success rate.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work within a group setting or independently
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be able to walk in all types of terrain (grass, gravel, ditches, concrete)
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Frequently lift, remove and replace manhole lids up to 75 lbs
  • Must have a valid motor vehicle license with acceptable driving record
  • Have availability Monday – Friday. Some weekends and holidays may be required.
  • Must have a cellular phone
  • Must be able to wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment & Safety gear
  • Use of laptop, tablet, or other device to receive and update required documentation
  • Follow all safety rules at all times

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

1 year related experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to walk for long distances and stand for long periods of time.

Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Drivers License
