What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Locator Technician position at Spectrum Cable Installations, LLC?
Job Description
As a Utility Locator Technician you will be traveling to sites to identify, locate, and mark underground utility lines. Equipment is provided and you will be trained on proper use and safety.
There is an emergency rotation, meaning there are times that you will be on call for emergencies that arise after hours requiring our locating services.
Mileage reimbursement for travel to daily job sites
Training pay starts at $16 an hour but is also based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment and tools safely and efficiently to identify, locate, and mark existing utility lines
- Provide exceptional customer service onsite
- Troubleshoot issues efficiently and safely in a professional manner
- Maintain company vehicle (if applicable) and equipment properly to ensure safety and cost effectiveness
Who We Are Looking For
- You are at least 18 years old
- Possess a valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience
- Authorized to work in the United States for this company
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
- You have a high school diploma, GED equivalent, or
- Comfortable working outdoors
- Effective communication skills
- Available to work extended hours, overtime, and weekends as business needs require
