What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator position at On Target Staffing?
We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators for a warehouse position involving 100% material handling equipment (MHE) operation for loading and unloading oversized pallets.
Pay: $23.00–$24.00/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Positions: 4 openings
Responsibilities:
Operate propane sit-down forklifts
Operate Crown forklifts
Load and unload large and oversized pallets
Handle 2-door, 3-door, and 4-door pallet loads
Safely move and position heavy/oversized materials
Perform daily forklift safety checks and follow all warehouse safety procedures
Training & Location:
2 operators will remain in Fairfield after completing training.
2 operators will train in Fairfield for 1 week and then transfer to Edison, NJ.
Requirements:
Previous sit-down forklift experience required
Experience operating propane forklifts
Experience handling large/oversized pallet loads
Must be comfortable with 100% forklift/MHE operation
Strong focus on safety and proper equipment handling
