Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to serve as a Weekend Supervisor within our healthcare facility. As the Weekend Supervisor, you will oversee nursing operations during weekend shifts, coordinate patient assessments, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards. Duties
- Supervise nursing staff during weekend shifts, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
- Coordinate patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Oversee documentation in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) PCC, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage emergency situations by implementing appropriate triage procedures and critical care interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients with complex needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory care requirements.
- Ensure adherence to infection control policies and safety protocols across all nursing activities.
- Facilitate communication between staff members, patients, and families to promote transparency and understanding of care processes.
- Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while managing medical records and ensuring proper documentation of all patient interactions.
Experience
- Valid LPN license with current state licensure required; additional certifications such as BLS/CPR are preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working in long-term care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, or assisted living environments.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Extensive clinical background including critical care experience and IV infusion skills.
- Familiarity with geriatric care, dementia management, and memory care practices is essential.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is advantageous.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA, long-term care regulations, and infection control policies.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, patient assessment techniques, and medication administration procedures.
