Manager – Repairs
Position Overview:
A growing independent elevator organization is currently seeking an experienced Repair Manager. This position will be based in the Queens, NY area. As a Repair Manager at you will oversee the servicing and repair of equipment, ensuring efficient operations, customer satisfaction, and employee performance (Repair Supervisors), while also managing field operations and project completion.
- Manage all contracts and billable repairs.
- Collaborate with M/R and Repair Supervisors to survey work.
- Create scopes of work based on field surveys.
- Obtain material pricing directly or indirectly utilizing interoffice warehouse/engineering personnel.
- Obtain labor requirements directly or indirectly utilizing M/R and Repair Supervisors.
- Monitor and respond timely to customer and interoffice emails.
- Attend customer and/or consultant meetings in person or virtually as needed.
- Attend interoffice meetings in person to assist in violation remediation as it pertains to M/R & Repair .
- Schedule and coordinate labor and material deliveries with internal trucking/warehouse personnel to execute field work.
- Track labor and material costing to ensure profitability.
- Review and approve field labor payroll weekly for M/R & Repair.
- Close and invoice all billable work timely.
- Communicate internally with Service Area Managers, Compliance team, and Dispatchers' all timelines and expectations as it relates to M/R & Repair in-person and/or via email correspondence.
- Communicate externally with Customers, Consultants, and interested parties' all timelines and expectations as it relates to M/R & Repair in-person and/or via email correspondence.
