Steel Warehouse Coordinator

OMT-Veyhl USA Corporation is looking for a Steel Warehouse Coordinator! This important coordinator role will take ownership for the materials and the activities of the Steel Warehouse, coordinating all the necessary system and material movements from initial receipt to delivery to the fabrication team and everything in-between. As a supplier to the fabrication team, this person will work closely with the Supply Chain Planning team to improve overall reliability of our materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees the reconciliation of receiving / purchase documentation (verify slips with physical delivery).
• Conducts incoming inspections to ensure quality and accuracy of the incoming materials.
• Manages the completion of receiving entries in NAV computer system. Each receipt must have documentation (Packing Slip etc.) to support NAV computer system entries.
• Put away and organize materials in the warehouse in a clean and organized way.
• Ensure overall material inventory in the warehouse is up to date and accurate.
• Conducts regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Helps with consolidation of materials.
• Works with our Fabrication customer to deliver necessary materials for their use.
• Upon transfer of any and all material out of the warehouse insuring immediate and accurate reclassing of materials in NAV.
• In the end, owns the Steel Warehouse and works on strategies to be a more reliable service center to our customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately read prints/drawings and use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
• Proficient with NAV system or similar ERP systems.
• Willingness to take ownership and accountability for Steel Warehouse operations
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and creative approach to work
• Possess a valid Michigan driver’s license.
• Experience operating a forklift, including maintaining a valid forklift license or certification.
• Experience operating overhead cranes, including maintaining a valid overhead crane license or certification.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma required.
• One to three years experience shipping and receiving and inventory management, quality inspection preferred.
