Our client is seeking a Sales/Estimator to join their team in Houston, TX. They are a leading provider of HDPE piping solutions and services, supporting a wide range of industrial and infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for accurately estimating material quantities and costs, with a primary focus on underground piping systems.

Sales/Estimator Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and isometric drawings (ISOs).
- Perform material takeoffs and generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for project quotations and procurement.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment associated with underground piping projects.
- Develop shop drawings, schematics, and supporting project documentation as required.
- Prepare and maintain takeoff reports and project estimate documentation.
- Assist in developing project budgets, timelines, and cost projections.
- Support contractors, project managers, and customers with project quotations and material recommendations.
- Source and price materials through vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive and accurate proposals.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and product availability.
- Assist with project bidding activities and customer requests.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to ensure project requirements are clearly understood.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Stay current on industry standards, specifications, and construction practices related to underground piping systems.
- Conduct site visits and project assessments when required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Sales/Estimator Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in estimating, inside sales, project coordination, or a related construction-focused role.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and isometric drawings (ISOs).
- Experience developing material takeoffs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and project estimates.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and underground utility or piping systems preferred.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software tools.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
