You will be responsible for establishing and managing the document control system for Data Center projects, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and traceability of all project documentation across engineering, procurement, construction, and commercial functions. The Document Control Manager leads the site document control team, maintains document governance processes, and ensures that all internal and external correspondence, drawings, and deliverables are properly reviewed, distributed, and archived in accordance with project requirements.
Document Control Manager Objectives
- Implement and maintain a disciplined document control system supporting all phases of project execution
- Ensure timely and accurate document distribution, review, and approval across internal teams and external stakeholders
- Maintain complete traceability of project documents and transmittals
- Support compliance with project and client documentation procedures
- Lead and train the document control team to ensure consistency and accuracy across all documentation activities
Document Control Manager Activities
- Establish and manage the project document control system in alignment with client and company requirements
- Oversee document numbering, revision control, and metadata standards for all project deliverables
- Review and issue transmittals to clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring correct distribution and recordkeeping
- Monitor document workflows and ensure timely review, comment, and approval cycles
- Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to maintain alignment of deliverables and status updates
- Maintain the master document register and ensure system data accuracy at all times
- Support project close-out by ensuring complete and accurate archival of all project documentation
Document Control Manager Expected Experience
- 10–15 years of experience in document control for large-scale construction or industrial projects
- Strong understanding of document management systems, workflows, and quality requirements
- Proven ability to lead document control teams and coordinate with multiple project disciplines
- Experience with electronic document management systems (EDMS) and client documentation portals
- Prior experience supporting Data Center or mission-critical facility projects preferred
Qualifications
Mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Information Management, or related field
Nice to Have
- Certification or training in Document Management or Information Governance
- Experience with Procore
