What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corrosion Manager position at OmniForce Solutions?
Our client supports critical energy infrastructure, managing large-scale pipeline operations and ensuring natural gas is processed, treated, and delivered to meet market demand. They’re now looking to add a Corrosion Manager to their growing team in Southwest Louisiana.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and provide effective leadership for Corrosion Technicians who may be located at various work locations.
- Develop the corrosion related capital and O&M budgets.
- Manage projects pertaining to corrosion control and pipeline integrity.
- Develop and coordinate regional corrosion control and pipeline integrity programs and projects.
- Manage ongoing training and development of employees.
- Participate in regulatory and internal audits and inspections.
- Pipeline integrity responsibilities include but are not limited to aiding in planning close internal surveys, atmospheric surveys, chemical surveys, and ILI pigging.
- Writing & handling all reports and reporting’s.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 years in the natural gas industry.
- Leadership and supervision skills; personnel management skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test to eligible for hire.
- Must be willing to fly in helicopters or ride in boats.
- Need to be available if needed for nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Driving for several hours could be possible.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Strong technical knowledge in the corrosion field; 2 years of technical experience preferred.
- Experience with PHSMA – regulatory audits DOT and NACE codes.
