Licensing Manager, Business Development (Biotech) | South San Francisco, CA
We are partnering with a high-growth, innovation-driven biotechnology organization to hire a Licensing Manager, Business Development (Biotech). This role is tailored for PhD-trained scientists looking to transition into a strategic, deal-focused career at the forefront of antibody therapeutics and partnering.
Location: South San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)

This position offers hands-on exposure to licensing transactions, strategic alliances, and commercialization initiatives, enabling you to directly impact pipeline growth and external innovation strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and advance licensing and partnership opportunities (out-licensing, co-development, strategic alliances)
- Translate complex scientific data into clear, actionable business insights
- Lead and support cross-functional due diligence across R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, CMC, and Finance
- Contribute to deal execution, including partner engagement, proposals, and negotiations
- Support pipeline prioritization and business development strategy
- Build and manage relationships with biotech and pharmaceutical partners
- Represent the organization at industry conferences and partnering events
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Immunology, Oncology, Pharmacology, Cancer Biology, or related discipline
- Strong expertise in antibody drug discovery, including: Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), Bispecific antibodies, Antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs)
- Proven ability to interpret scientific data and align it with commercial strategy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in Mandarin and English (written and verbal)
Preferred:
- 0–3 years of experience (recent PhDs and postdocs encouraged)
- Exposure to business development, licensing, or translational science is a plus
- Strong interest in deal-making, partnerships, and commercialization strategy
- Agile, collaborative, and highly coachable
