HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR / CDL & Non-CDL Driver
Olympus Technical Services, Inc., a Montana-based, employee-owned environmental services firm specializing in hazardous waste site remediation, mine reclamation, environmental engineering, and emergency spill response is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators / CDL Drivers for a project in East Helena, MT. The position reports to the Field Services Division Manager.
Full-time, part-time, and temp openings available.
Duties:
- Safely operate and drive various types of trucks, including semi, side dump, low boy, dump trucks, etc.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle.
- Perform routine inspections of the truck and report any maintenance issues.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
- CDL required.
- 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations (HazWoper) preferred, but not necessary for a qualified individual.
- Good driving record.
- Mechanical capabilities required.
- Ability to lift 80 pounds.
- Travel required (typically Monday through Friday, although may be on weekends for emergency response) primarily in Idaho and Montana and/or adjoining states.
- Must pass background check.
- Ability to pass random drug and alcohol tests.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of project and employee information.
Compensation:
Hourly wage DOE – Prevailing Wage Rates
Overtime pay 1.5 times hourly wage.
Workdays are generally Monday – Friday 40 hours/week but may be after hours or on weekends. Schedule may vary based on job schedule and season.
