What You’ll Do
- Safety is our top priority, and as an Operator, you'll be responsible for keeping a keen eye for hazards to keep yourself and the team out of harm's way
- Operate a diverse range of heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, blades, haul trucks, water trucks, and dozers, for everything from precise excavation to smooth paving prep
- Ensure safe slopes on excavations, proper barricading, and compliance with trenching and shoring standards.
- Every day presents new challenges, but you'll tackle them head-on - whether it's troubleshooting equipment issues or adapting to changing site conditions, your ability to think on your feet will be invaluable
- Travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads from various locations
- 2 Years Operating Experience – Excavator / Loader / Dozer / Blade
- Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations
- Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards, aggregate sizes and classifications, and weight requirements of loads leaving the pit
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write short correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
