FOREMAN
FULL-TIME POSITION
Olympus Technical Services, Inc., an Idaho and Montana-based, employee-owned Environmental Consulting and Environmental Field Services firm specializing in hazardous waste site/environmental remediation, streambank reclamation, mine reclamation, superfund site cleanup, demolition, environmental engineering and consulting, and emergency spill response, is seeking a Foreman. The position reports to the Field Services Division Manager and takes place in a high-paced, high-energy, and dynamic environment.
Full-time, part-time, and temp openings available.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Lead and supervise daily activities of field crews to ensure efficient production
- Execute work according to project plans, specifications, and direction from the Project Manager
- Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to meet schedule and productivity goals
- Serve as the primary point of contact between field crews and the Project Manager
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and grade stakes
- Enforce safety policies and ensure proper PPE use
- Monitor work quality and ensure tasks are completed to company and client standards
- Train, mentor, and provide direction to laborers and equipment operators
- Assist with layout, site preparation, and sequencing of work activities
- Track daily progress, quantities, and crew productivity
- Identify and communicate field issues, delays, or changes to the Project Manager
- Perform light equipment operation or hands-on work as needed
The successful candidate will meet the following minimum requirements:
- Minimum 3-years’ experience as a Foreman/field manager
- Experience operating heavy equipment, including excavator, loader, skid steer, and backhoe
- Demolition and dirt-moving experience
- Interest and ability to interact with clients and project teams
- Strong safety record and QA/QC skills
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office, GPS, construction estimating and scheduling software
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
Additional preferred qualifications include:
- Advanced degree in a related field;
- PE/PMP or other professional license or registration;
- Related industry licensure/training including:
- 40-hour HAZWOPER
- OSHA Supervisor Training
Compensation:
Hourly wage DOE – Prevailing Wage Rates
Overtime paid at 1.5 times hourly wage
Workdays are generally M-F, 8 AM - 5 PM but may be after hours or on weekends. Schedule will vary based on job location and season.
