Job Description
Under the supervision of the Nutrition Services Director, this position oversees and coordinates the work of certain Dietary Department employees in the preparation and cooking of food for hospital patients, employees, visitors and special occasions or catered functions. Responsible for planning menus, determining quantities, establishing and enforcing standards of consistent quality, placing orders and preparing and serving foods. Ensures compliance with Department of Health regulations. May relieve other department managers.

EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional training/education in cooking principles and techniques from a recognized institution of dietary/culinary arts preferred.
- Minimum three years of work-related experience in the healthcare or hospitality industry.
- Have or able to obtain and maintain a Food Handler’s Permit. ServSafe certification preferred.
