FTE: 100% WORK SHIFT Days PAY RANGE: $87,692.80 - $141,606.40 UNION: SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS/PREMIUMS: JOB DESCRIPTION: The Director, Materials Management, is responsible for directing, coordinating, overseeing, and leading the operation of the Materials Management Department, including Central Services (Sterile Processing and Distribution), OR Supply and Purchasing, processing and distribution of mail, Document Management, and Clinical Engineering (Biomed). This position is responsible for all matters relating to finance, planning, organizing, development of goals/objectives, development of policies and procedures, compliance with laws/standards/regulations, quality management, education, information services, group purchasing activities and contractual negotiations and obligations, purchasing and inventory management, product distribution, product evaluation, disposal of surplus, patient charge master maintenance, and human resource management of this department. The Director, Materials Management, also ensures goods and services are ordered and received in the correct amount, on time and at the correct price. EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent, or five years of relevant experience in purchasing/management/accounting preferred EXPERIENCE At least five years of progressive contemporary Materials Management experience preferred Proven management experience in hospital/healthcare environment preferred Participation in a professional purchasing organization such as Association for Healthcare Resource and Materials Management (AHRMM) and/or National Association for Purchasing Managers (NAPM) LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS Affiliation/accreditation with AHRMM and/or NAPM or another professional purchasing organization preferred BENEFITS INFORMATION: Click here for information about our benefits.
