FTE: 50% WORK SHIFT Variable PAY RANGE: $21.95 - $32.36 UNION: SEIU 1199-Service and Dietary SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS/PREMIUMS: Weekend & Holiday Shifts: Yes On-Call Shifts: No Shift Differentials: Evening - $3.00/hour Night - $5.00/hour Weekend - $4.50/hour Premiums: Per Diem - 15% (on rate of pay, in lieu of benefits) Lead - $3.25/hour On-Call - $3.00/hour Preceptor - $1.50/hour Trainer - $1.50/hour JOB DESCRIPTION: The technician has accountability for the distribution and inventory control of medical supplies and equipment utilized in clinical areas of the hospital, central supply, and throughout OMC. The technician is a specialist in the technical details of periodic automatic replenishment (PAR), perpetual inventory, receiving, put-away, counting, picking, packing, distributing, tracking, and shipping of medical supplies and equipment utilized through OMC. The supply technician has expert level knowledge of how medical supplies and equipment function and how medical supplies and equipment are utilized in a clinical setting. The technician understands the technical details of infection prevention strategies in a healthcare setting. EDUCATION High school diploma or GED required. EXPERIENCE Minimum two years of recent and relevant supply chain experience required. Minimum one year of experience in healthcare supply chain required. LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from the International Association of Healthcare Central Services and Materials Management (IAHCSMM) preferred. Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) from the Association of Healthcare Resource and Materials Management (AHRMM) preferred.
