Physics Adjunct
Olympic College is seeking part-time Physics Adjunct Faculty to teach introductory and advanced Physics courses at its various campuses. This position reports to the Dean of Mathematics, Engineering, Science, and Health (MESH). Part-time positions are open continuously and reviewed on a quarter-by-quarter basis.
As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching developmental and/or college-level Physics courses, including related preparation and grading. You will also provide clear and punctual communication with students, faculty, and staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Physics required
- Related Masters degree with substantial graduate level Physics coursework may be considered
- Computer skills, including Microsoft applications
Desired Qualifications:
- Successful experience teaching Physics at a College or University
- Experience with Learning Management System software such as Canvas
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and communicate several areas within the field of Physics effectively
- Demonstrate knowledge of alternative teaching methods, including the use of technology in instruction
- Collaborate successfully with colleagues, staff, and students as part of an educational team
