As a Senior Premium Auditor - Worker's Compensation, you will oversee a portfolio of complex audits, ensuring precise premium validation and compliance with regulatory and underwriting standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end execution of premium audits, including review and analysis of financial records to verify payroll and premium base.
- Apply expert judgement to determine appropriate risk classifications and evaluate the operational scope of insureds.
- Generate clear, accurate audit reports using proprietary software, adhering to regulatory and internal standards.
- Engage insureds with professionalism and clarity to explain findings, address discrepancies, and build trusted relationships.
- Identify and escalate significant changes in risk exposure or classification to underwriting for further review.
- Efficiently manage scheduling and time allocation to maintain audit timelines and minimize policyholder disruption.
- Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and compliance efforts.
- 4 years of hands-on experience conducting complex / large Worker's Compensation audits
- Deep understanding of audit methodologies, worker's compensation classifications, and applicable regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficient in interpreting financial documents and calculating premiums
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings to diverse audiences
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally for on-site audits (primarily day trips)
- California state audit experience with WCIRB certification is preferred
