What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of FP&A position at Oliver James?
Our client is seeking an experienced Director of FP&A to join their team and lead their FP&A function. This is a high-visibility leadership role where you'll be working directly with the CFO and CEO. The key responsibility of the role is to help the company drive top-line growth and optimize the bottom line. The ideal candidate should have the following key qualities
- Strong financial modelling skills and extensive experience in driving insights & actionable plans through situational analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline required; MBA and/or CPA designation preferred.
- 7-10 years of progressive experience across finance, strategic planning, corporate development, or related functions.
- Prior experience within insurance, financial services, or complex multi-entity environments strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in building, optimizing, and scaling finance processes within high-growth, fast-paced organizations.
- Strong technical proficiency with ERP and FP&A platforms such as NetSuite, Datarails, and Power BI, along with advanced Excel capabilities including PowerPivot and VBA.
