Overview
In this role, the Clinician will provide field/home and/or office based therapeutic services to clients including assessments, treatment planning, individual & group and family therapy, discharge planning, and participation in Child and Family Team meetings.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess individual needs and assist in meeting needs.
- Meet with clients at a minimum of once per week.
- Provide weekly clinical services to assigned clients as appropriate, including individual psychotherapy with client or caregiver, or family therapy, as needed in the home, school and/or office environment.
- Lead or co-lead parent or children’s groups, as requested.
- Provide target number of direct service minutes and proactively plan with supervisor around barriers.
- Participate in the Child and Family Team process to speak to the mental health needs of the child.
- Maintain detailed records of significant contacts, incidents, relationships, treatment team meetings, group, individual, and family sessions, and case management activity. (i.e., Mental Health Documentation).
- Submit assessments, care plans, and other documentation to supervisor. Complete client documentation in Electronic Health Record within required timeframes and maintain all deadlines.
- Complete outcome measures (CANS, CAFAS, PSC35).
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling to best meet the needs of the client and family.
- Participate in peer reviews and other audit activities.
- Provide crisis de-escalation support to clients (during and after business hours, when instructed).
- Provide intensive home-based mental health services, if deemed appropriate by treatment team.
- Provide intensive Care Coordination services and targeted case management in collaboration with treatment team.
Required Qualifications:
- Possess a Master of Science or Master of Arts degree in Social Work or Psychology (MSW/MFT), Must be registered with the BBS.
- Record clearance free of criminal convictions.
- Negative Mantoux PPD Test/chest x-ray not more than one year prior to commencing work and every three (3) years thereafter confirming employee is free of tuberculosis.
- Must have CPR and First Aid certification upon hire and maintained throughout employment.
- Must have and maintain a valid California Driver License and clean driving record throughout employment.
- May spend significant time driving as part of regular duties.
- Must maintain eligibility to participate in federal health care programs. Eligibility is checked monthly through the Federal, State, and County Sanctions lists.
- Working knowledge of computer programs including Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite. Trainable in use of Electronic Health Record.
- Must have a philosophy of support for abused children in line with values, mission and treatment philosophy of Olive Crest
- If applicable, two (2) years adoption-related experience and knowledge of the core issues in adoption as needed to work with APSS clients.
