Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast or Union Pos
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Manage cash transactions accurately, process sales through POS systems, and handle cash handling responsibilities with integrity
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, spirits, and menu options to elevate guest experience
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly
- Maintain a thorough understanding of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Support guest relations by addressing inquiries professionally and ensuring overall satisfaction
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Experience in cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, spirits service, and upselling techniques is advantageous
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Basic math skills for cashiering and sales transaction processing are essential
- Prior experience in bussing tables or host/hostess roles will be considered beneficial
