Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a diverse selection of beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or food pairings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Toast POS and Union POS for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies; assist with stock replenishment as needed.
- Develop new beverage recipes or variations to keep the menu fresh and exciting; stay informed on current trends like craft beer and brewing techniques.
- Ensure responsible serving by verifying legal drinking age and recognizing signs of intoxication; promote a safe environment for all guests.
Experience
- Previous experience as a bartender in fine dining, restaurant, or hospitality settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of beverage recipes, wine varieties, craft beers, brewing processes, and cocktail techniques.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy service periods seamlessly while maintaining quality standards.
- Experience in food handling, food safety protocols, catering events, banquet service, or retail math is advantageous.
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory management are essential.
