Job Mission:
Ensure that families enrolled in WIC receive all services needed to ensure proper nutritional maintenance.
Performance Standards:
- Promote and counsel WIC clients on basics of breastfeeding.
- Assists in teaching breastfeeding class or support groups.
- Attend staff meetings and breastfeeding conference/workshops as needed.
- Carry out all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required. Associates degree preferred.
- At least 6 months experience breastfeeding.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience working knowledge of various computer programs and databases required.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience working with low-income families in public health preferred.
- Valid Michigan Driver’s license, automobile and valid auto insurance.
Hours & Wage
$17.00 per hour
12 hours per week; 52 weeks per year
