FLSA Status: Exempt – Administrative/Executive
Job Mission:
To coordinate the daily custodial work and maintenance of assigned space, ensuring space is safe, clean, and functional for normal operations. Further, Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator I is responsible for using his/her independent judgment and discretion with regarding to marketing of the programs, monitoring of the problems, dispute resolution of programs, and team supervision.
Performance Standards:
1. Coordinate, assign and inspect daily custodial and janitorial work performed in assigned spaces, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and availability of needed supplies.
2. Identify and resolve maintenance-related issues in assigned spaces; communicate with staff and management regarding maintenance, janitorial, and inventory needs.
3. Ensure adequate stock levels of maintenance supplies and equipment.
4. Assist in the planning and execution of reconfiguration and organization of assigned spaces and supplies; participate in specialized repairs, projects, and events as needed.
5. Carry out other duties as directed by the Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator II.
6. Supervise assigned staff of two or more people. Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator I shall have hiring, firing, and disciplining responsibilities in concert with the Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator II.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. One (1) year of facilities maintenance experience required, three (3) years preferred.
3. One (1) year of experience of planning and scheduling workloads required.
4. One (1) year of experience working with computers utilizing Windows based software preferred.
5. Valid Driver’s License with not documented Type A violations in the past three years.
Physical Job Description:
Job requirements in an 8 hour workday
Sit: 1 hour - processing paperwork; Stand: 3 hours- assisting staff; Walk: 3 hours- assisting staff, mail delivery and pickup; Bend/Stoop: 2 hours- putting supplies away
Movements: YES- Reach Above, Crouch, Squat, Climb, Shoulder level, Kneel, Pushing
Weight Carried: 26-50 lbs. this is occasional but could be more in certain circumstances
