We are currently seeking a skilled Industial Mechanic Technician to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring that our equipment, boilers, and air systems run efficiently and safely.
Position Summary
The Industrial Mechanic Technician works under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining bakery machinery and facility equipment. This role requires strong mechanical skills, some electrical knowledge, and the ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Technicians are required to have their own tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair bakery equipment, boilers, and air compressors.
- Utilize strong mechanical and basic electrical skills for installations and repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and scheduled servicing on machinery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked shop area, tools, and supplies.
- Coordinate machine maintenance schedules with supervisors and production managers.
- Make necessary equipment adjustments or modifications and conduct test runs.
- Create documentation and reports for completed work.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with the team.
- Willing to travel to Rancho Cucamonga and San Bernardino locations
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing or industrial maintenance role.
- Proficiency with shop tools, pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency.
- High school diploma or equivalent (experience may substitute for education).
- Effective communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a warm production environment.
- Basic ability to use computers, phones, printers, and other tech equipment.
- Reading, writing, and basic math competency.
- MIG/TIG welding experience is a plus.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Additional Information
Employees may be cross-trained across multiple departments and may be required to assist other teams as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.50 - $25.00 per hour
