What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager position at Old New York Deli & Bakery Co?
$28 Per Hour ($21 per hour base PLUS $6 - $7 an hour extra in Tip Pooling!)
FULL TIME NON SEASONAL POSITION.
Our ideal Assistant Manger consistently meets or exceeds these basic job requirements daily:
· Exceeds expectations in performing all the duties of a shift leader and leads the crew by setting a great example
· Works efficiently, smartly and safely as a team member to ensure the best customer service at all times
· Helps maintain our environment to be fun, upbeat, exciting and safe
· Opens and or closes the store
· Assists Manager with preparation of staff schedules
· Handles large amount of cash, has keys to the store and safe, is responsible for change bag
· Assigns work stations for crew members throughout their shifts
· Implements break times for all crew members and self
· Manages inventory of products, meets with and or phones in orders of products with vendors
· Interviews potential new crew members, has the ability of hiring new crew members, performance development and needed disciplinary actions
· Ensures the front and back of the store are up to the utmost highest standards in cleanliness
· Trains new crew members in all areas
