Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Filter Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and supplying production lines with vinegar according to specifications from Quality Control and daily scheduling requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Insure that vinegars are prepared within specifications for the production lines.
- Insure that all filers and stainless steel tanks are used efficiently and effectively.
- Insure that all filters, tanks, pumps and storage areas are cleaned properly by the end of their shift.
- Insure that all vinegars are properly blended by checking with Q.C. (Quality Control) and meet all specifications.
- Maintain batch production reports that track the efficiency of operations.
- Insure that all materials brought into the basement are labeled with the date received and used on a first in first out basis.
- Make all minor repairs to the equipment or report problems to the maintenance department as needed. Follow up with the maintenance department to insure that all repairs are made in a timely manner.
- Conduct a weekly inventory of all materials remaining in the basement.
- Learn to titrate for the initial testing of product tanks. Work closely with the Lab to insure that product tanks are brought quickly into specifications.
- Work with the vinegar plant operators to insure that the proper products are brought into the basement tanks to meet production schedules.
- Communicate with your Supervisor, the Production Supervisor, the Vinegar Plant Supervisor, and the Scheduler to anticipate and solve problems that would adversely effect plant production.
- Frequent climbing of stairs is required along with lifting (at least 50 lbs) and moving of various materials required.
- Follow and adhere to HACCP, SQF and GMP regulations.
- Follows all program guidelines for Halal and Kosher certifications.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by a supervisor.
- Responsible for food safety and quality
- Position is covered by Vinegar Process Supervisor
- Responsible for immediately identifying non-conforming product or equipment to their supervisor at any step of the operation.

- High school diploma or equivalent

As part of this role, we do require occasional overtime and Saturday shifts to meet our goals.
