Position Summary
Old Barnwell is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will ensure that guest room linens, towels, robes, and housekeeping supplies are cleaned, organized, and distributed to support daily operations. Your attention to detail and efficiency will help provide the exceptional level of hospitality our members and guests expect.
Schedule
- Part-time/ Seasonal (20–35 hours per week)
- Flexible scheduling with shifts available Monday through Sunday
- Typical shift: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Weekend availability is required
- Occasional holiday based on business needs
Essential Responsibilities
- Wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, robes, and other laundry items according to established standards.
- Sort laundry by fabric type, color, and washing requirements.
- Operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect linens and towels for stains, damage, or excessive wear and report items that need replacement.
- Deliver clean linens and towels to housekeeping closets, guest rooms, locker rooms, and other designated areas.
- Maintain an organized and sanitary laundry room.
- Monitor inventory levels of linens, laundry supplies, and cleaning products, notifying supervisors when replenishment is needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and laundry products.
- Assist the Housekeeping team with additional duties as needed to support daily operations.
- Provide friendly, professional service while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous laundry, housekeeping, hotel, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
Education & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
