Position Summary
Old Barnwell is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Houseman/Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of our clubhouse and guest facilities while ensuring linens and housekeeping supplies are readily available. Your work plays an essential role in creating a first-class experience for our members and guests.
Schedule
- Part-time/ Seasonal (20–35 hours per week)
- Monday-Sunday shifts available
- Mid-day shifts( Primarily 10am-6PM)
- Weekend availability is required
- Occasional holiday based on business needs
Essential Responsibilities
- Clean and re-stock men's locker room
- Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, lounges, and other common spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recycling throughout the property.
- Restock housekeeping closets, carts, locker room amenities, linens, and cleaning supplies.
- Assist with laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, organizing, and distributing linens and towels.
- Support deep-cleaning projects, including carpets, windows, upholstery, and seasonal cleaning tasks.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment while following all housekeeping procedures and safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding supply needs, maintenance concerns, or guest requests.
- Provide courteous, professional service to members and guests by responding promptly to requests and maintaining a positive attitude.
- Perform other housekeeping-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or laundry experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Availability to work the posted schedule, including occasional weekends.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
Education & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
